Daniel Smith - Founder
Dan is the lead designer of widely known initiatives including Active Citizens (British Council, 2009-2021) and Respect In The Commonwealth (Commonwealth Secretariat). He is the author of several ‘change-maker’ toolkits and has delivered workshops, consultancy and performances on how change happens in over fifty countries.
Dan specialises in building trust across difference, resilience, and supporting clients to navigate uncertainty. Previous clients have included governments, rebels, artists, activists, scientists, corporates and indigenous peoples.
James Edleston - Founder
James applies a systems lens and a curious spirit to support innovation in formal and non-formal education and cross-sectoral collaboration.
With experience of managing large-scale regional education programmes, James’ current work includes co-creating a programme focused on ‘leadership in times of disruption’ for Ukraine, Poland and Romania (British Council), supporting climate networks and exploring music-based approaches to working in divided communities.
James specialises in designing initiatives and content to develop hard and soft skills and building multi-sensory experiences.
Charo Lanao - Associate
Charo Lanao is a creative process designer, coach and facilitator of strategic conversations. As the host of multi-stakeholder conversations connected to people and the environment she regularly works in the Amazon, and with a wide range of audiences across five contents. Charo was recently the facilitator of the first Global Citizens Assembly.
Charo helps people worldwide to learn from each other, communicate and co-create transformative strategies and initiatives. She supports individuals and teams to grow their capacity for clarity, creativity and alignment in the face of challenge and change.
Charo has expertise in Intercultural and intergenerational dialogue, Gender, Climate Change and Coexistence between Humans and Nature.
Dan Tsu - Associate
Founder of underground movement Lyrix Organix and co-founder of Glastonbury Festival's iconic Rum Shack, Dan Tsu is an educational consultant, facilitator, creative director, senior programme manager, event producer and youth mentor; his portfolio freelance career includes recent roles as Senior Programme Manager (Roundhouse), international facilitator (British Council), Lead Lecturer (BIMM London) & Music Education consultant (Youth Music).
Dan has built an industry-wide reputation for championing diversity amongst young creatives - working with the likes of Akala, Kae Tempest and Ed Sheeran; and specialises in innovative design and delivery of digital and physical youth education programmes across music, spoken word, social action, freelance & entrepreneurship and event management.
